Appointments: Monday - Thursday, 9am to 4pmMs. Rothlander is supervised by a senior member of the Kelowna Professional Group team, Ms. Hennessey, a member of the UBC Master’s Program Alma Mater. Ms. Hennessey has a full schedule and someone who may wish to benefit from her wisdom can have the opportunity to see Ms. Rothlander who will be consulting regularly with Ms. Hennessey in helping to meet the goals of a co-authored treatment plan by the client, and their therapist, and the supervisor. With our busy practises this opportunity affords individuals access to treatment in a timely fashion with a wealth of knowledge from supervision. Ms. Rothlander was selected to our practice due to her uniquely rich background in services and research into best practices.
Krystal Rothlander is currently accepting new clients and is offering in-person and remote sessions. She has very good availability. New client intakes are currently being scheduled in 2-4 weeks.
Krystal earned her Bachelor of Arts in Health and Community Services with a focus on the aging population from the University of Victoria, BC in 2018. Krystal received professional experience at the Kelowna Women’s Shelter, Seniors Outreach, Okanagan Boys & Girls Club and a community-based SOAR research project. Krystal was accepted into the Master of Social Work (MSW) program at the University of British Columbia Okanagan (UBCO) in 2021 with a focus on clinical social work. Krystal is a practicing student of the accredited program who will complete the British College of Social Workers (BCCSW) registration in 2023.
Ms. Krystal Rothlander uses an anti-oppression practice that applies an evidence-based biopsychosocial approach. She provides safety, unconditional positive regard, confidentiality and a therapeutic helping relationship. This person-centred, strength-based, ecological and trauma-informed practice provides clients with empowerment and the ability for the process of change. Krystal applies a multidisciplinary approach that integrates and connects individuals and families to community resources to promote social cohesion. Clients can expect Krystal to be approachable, non-judgmental, humble and humorous. Her lived experience, academics and professional career provides her with the ability to recognize various perspectives. This provides clients with a health practitioner that values balance, hope, perseverance, survivorship, stories, laughter, compassion, integrity, fortitude and love.

As Ms. Krystal Rothlander is a practicum student, it is unlikely that any extended health coverage that you have will cover sessions with her. She is, however, offering a session fees on a sliding scale between $75 and $125 per session. We ask that you operate with integrity in seeking this particular offset so that we may reserve it for people most in need. This is for people with income limitations and financial constraints that are a barrier for treatment.We are unable to provide direct billing services for Ms. Rothlander and you will be fully responsible for payment of her fee at the time your appointment occurs. If you are eligible for reimbursement under your insurance plan for sessions with a student, you are responsible for submitting any receipts directly to your insurance coverage and any payment will be issued to you per your individual plan benefits.
